Abstrakt:

Supergene mineralization of the uranium deposit Slavkovice, western Moravia

The supergene uranyl mineral assemblage from the mine dump of abandoned uranium deposit Slavkovice, western Moravia, Czech Republic is described in this paper. Billietite, wölsendorfite, metaautunite and uranophane have been determined using chiefly X-ray powder diffraction analysis, chemical analysis and infrared vibrational spectroscopy. Two stages of origin of the supergene mineral assemblage have been distinguished in the deposit.
