The mining history of the Zlaté Hory ore district probably begining to the period of “Laten” when the outcroping deposits was exploited from surface at so called Altenberg. Since this time the deposit has been mined up to the 20th century, but since the 16th century the mines were profitable only exceptionaly. The hugest amount of ore was excavated after the renewal of mines in the second half of the 20th century (1965-1994). Also review of published works about geology, geological tectonic setting, petrology, ore deposits, isotopic geochemistry of common lead, sulphur, carbon and oxygen, geochemistry of sulphides, and mineralogy are present.
