Abstract:

REE-bearing marble from Horní Dunajovice (Lukov Unit, Moravicum) in Western Moravia

REE-bearing calcite marble forms a layer in biotite phyllites near H. Dunajovice in the Lukov Unit of Moravicum. Chemical compositions of the iron- and phyllosilicate-rich marbles and description of rare carbonate synchysite-(Ce) are presented. Enrichment of REE in marble became in its sedimentary diagenetic or early metamorphic stages.
