Abstract:

New taxonomical view of some aptychi of family Punctaptychidae around Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary from the Kurovice Quarry (Outer Western Carpathians, Czech Republic)

The revised aptychi assemblages (family Punctaptychidae) around Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary, found in the Kurovice Quarry (Outer Western Carpathians), expands and clarifies the previous biostratigraphical studies realized in this locality. The aim of this contribution is to specify the taxonomic competence of punctate aptychi and clarify their distribution around the Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary. This new study is based on modern aptychi taxonomy published by MĚCHOVÁ et al. in 2010.
