Abstract:

Mineralogy and formation conditions of the hydrothermal calcite-barite-chlorite mineralization from Adamov (Brno massif)

Calcite-barite-chlorite mineralization from Adamov hosted by Neoproterozoic granodiorites of the Brno massif has been studied using EDX microanalyses, fluid inclusion microthermometry and stable isotope analyses. The mineralization is believed to originate during two different mineralizing events. The older plagioclase-quartz-chlorite-calcite assemblage displays genetic features indicative for Variscan syntectonic mineralization, whereas the superimposed barite-pyrite mineralization showed parameters typical for post-Variscan barite veins.
