Abstract:

Evaluation of geoenvironmental risk of material on the heap of the former power station in Oslavany

The aim of this thesis is geoenvironmental risk evaluation of material which was long term stored on the heap in Oslavany as a remain of coal combustion. The first part consists of a brief summary of the newest knowledge on this topic, followed by methods used in this research, namely radioactivity study, granulometry and XRD, XRF, electron microscopy and EDX analysis. Its results suggest there is no geoenvironmental risk caused by the material.
