Strengite with the variable Al-content from the graphite-rich moldanubian rocks on the Štěměchy locality

The late fissure mineralization with phosphate minerals was noted in graphitic moldanubian rocks. On the Štěměchy locality is formed by the oldest quartz, strengite, variscite, wavellite and the youngest clay minerals. Variable content of Al (0.0108–0.489 apfu Al) in strengite were also detected. In the phosphate minerals is the strengite component prevalent with a regular content up to 1.5 wt. % V2O5 (0.03 apfu V). The origin of this late mineralization is connected with the weathering of primary feldspars and V-bearing minerals (V-rich muscovite).
