Provenience würmskych pozdněpleistocenních spraší a spraším podobných sedimentů na Moravě a ve Slezsku, Česká republika: použití asociací těžkých minerálů
Článek v PDFProvenance of würm, late Pleistocene loess and loess-like sediments from Moravia and Silesia, Czech Republic: use of heavy mineral assemblage
Loess and loess-like sediments of the Last glacial in Moravia and Silesia were divided into five main accumulation areas based on the non-opaque heavy mineral assemblages. Possible source areas were also suggested based on literature data. Radioactivity measurements in the Trebic massif surroundings, evidence the length of transport, which is below 50-60 km. Anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) showed a characteristic type of arrangement. This arrangement corresponds to the fluid movement direction. Combination of AMS and non-opaque heavy mineral assemblage study can specify the source area.
