Plumbojarosit z Nové Vsi u Rýmařova
Článek v PDFPlumbojarosite from Nová Ves near Rýmařov
A (sub)recent mineral assemblage with plumbojarosite was identified in a waste rock dump material of a former Boží dar mine at Pb-Zn deposit Nová Ves near Rýmařov, Czech Republic. The plumbojarosite forms abundant fine-grained earthy yellow coatings on ore fragments. The mineral was identified by X-ray powder diffraction, the refined unit-cell parameters are a = 7.3203(9) Å; c = 33.773(4) Å. Its chemical composition is close to the ideal end-member formula with only minor amounts of K, H3O+ and Zn. The plumbojarosite origin in the topmost part of the weathered dump material reflects galena and anglesite reactions with acid solutions derived from pyrite decomposition.
