Kamenná hora Mt. near Ferdinandov – the primary gold occurrence at the contact of Desná Unit and Vrbno Group – Silesicum (Czech Republic)

Metamorphogenic Au-sulphidic mineralization ranges in quartz veins and secretions was find out at the locality Kamenná hora Mt. NE of Horní Město (Rýrnařov), at the eastern edge of the Silesian domain. The quartz veins are located in pre-Devonian basement metagranitoids, close to the Devonian hanging wall (low-grade phyllites and quartzites). Two-fineness gold is bound to pyrite and quartz, genesis of the mineralization is associated with the Variscan metamorphic mobilization and recrystallization.
