Allanite and its alteration products from pegmatite and skarn near Rešice, Western Moravia, Czech Republic

Allanite-(Ce) occurs in pyroxene (± garnet; plagioclase) skarn and in pegmatite dykes cutting regionally metamorphosed iron skarn body near Rešice. The results of microscopic study and microprobe analyses of allanite and its alteration products (parisite, thorogummite, Th-uraninite) are presented. The chemical compositions of allanite from skarn and pegmatite (allanite I and allanite II) are different, but predominate variations due to metamictization and alteration.
